Poverty is unnecessary. Each of us – even the economically disadvantage citizens of our world – can reach full potential if given access to the right resources. That’s why Junior Hart Cinema Foundation is working to transform the lives of the economically disadvantage through cinema in Africa and the Caribbean by giving them the skills and knowledge to produce movies so they can provide income for themselves and immediate family. We believe that people everywhere have an inherent desire to improve their lives, we harness the strength and ingenuity of the economically disadvantage by providing them with access to the right tools they need to break the cycle of poverty – actionable information, appropriate financial backing and unique business opportunities in the creative Arts. We lay the groundwork for measurable results by creating and piloting our approaches in the field, working with international and local partners, as well as with the economically disadvantage themselves, to create lasting solutions that can work worldwide, transforming the lives of individuals and their immediate family. Junior Hart World Cinema Foundation was founded in 1997, we are a leader in the fight against poverty in Africa and the Caribbean Islands, our cutting-edge programs in film productions and cinematic tours around Africa and the Caribbean Islands have helped many economically disadvantage people in these – improve their lives. Nothing is For Nothing In This World
For years charitable organizations have been pouring donations into Africa. These funds have not been reaching the right people, instead political corruption have been instrumental in keeping funds away from the causes it was meant for. Junior Hart World Cinema Foundation realized what the challenges have been over time. JHWCF will never make donation direct to any political or governmental organization in Africa or the Caribbean. All funds are paid direct to the artists and their family. This way we have seen gradual change in communities we film in and set up our cinematic programs. This program also spreads so much joy when other family members see their own family acting in the movies on the big screen and TV.
The great thing in all this is that we are not looking for hand outs; we actually produce movies from all over Africa and the Caribbean and place the movies on our global platform where we ask for a recurring or one off subscription to watch all the movies on the site. This way we are able to pay the actors and actresses, trainees, script writers, who are all from less fortunate backgrounds.
